Just by being an Active FOP member, you are awarded these benefits;
Insurance Benefits 2004
$10,000 Accident Death benefit is
paid when a member dies from accidental bodily injury, or exposure of loss
of life due to adverse weather conditions, or disappearance for 365 days after
the date of an accident
$10,000 Line Of Duty benefit is paid in addition to Accidental Death benefit
when active at work member is killed in the line of duty.
$1,000 Safe Driver benefit is paid in addition to the Accidental Death and/or
Line of Duty benefits when a member dies as a result of a covered auto accident
while a seat belt is properly utilized.
